Dalelven Product Development is now looking for an industrial designer to join our design and development team in Borlänge or Åre.
This position is a maternity leave cover starting in autumn 2026, initially for one year, with excellent opportunities for continued employment.
Here, you will work on real product development. From early ideas and concepts to finished products, collaborating with industrial designers, engineers, electronics, and software developers under one roof.
We develop products for both startups and world-leading companies across various industries. This means projects vary greatly — and no two weeks look exactly alike.
About the roleAs an industrial designer at Dalelven, you will become an important part of our design team, working closely with our clients and Dalelven’s own development team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing concepts and design ideas for new products
Sketching, visualizing, and developing user-centered solutions
Working with form, function, and user experience
Participating in product development from idea to finished product
Collaborating closely with engineers and technical developers
Presenting ideas and concepts to clients and project teams
Some projects are clearly defined, while others require you to explore, challenge, and drive the design process forward with creativity and new perspectives.
Who are we looking for?We are looking for someone who is creative, curious, and has a strong interest in product design and user experience.
You enjoy turning ideas into thoughtful products and thrive in both the creative concept phase and when the design needs to function in reality.
We believe you have:
Education in industrial design, product design, or similar
A few years of experience in industrial design or product development
Strong ability to visualize and communicate ideas
Experience with sketching, concept development, and design processes
Good understanding of user needs and product experience
Experience with tools such as Rhino, KeyShot, SolidWorks, and Adobe Creative Suite or similar
Good proficiency in Swedish and English
It is an advantage if you also have an interest in technology, mechanics, or production adaptation.
Dalelven as a workplaceWhat makes Dalelven special is how closely design and technology work together. Here, we do not sit as individual consultants at the client's site. We work in-house in teams where ideas, technology, and problem-solving happen together every day.
We believe in a creative work environment where people can develop, test ideas, and contribute meaningfully.
Here you get:
Diverse and creative projects
The opportunity to influence products from idea to reality
Close collaboration between design and technology
Colleagues with high competence and great commitment
Balance between work and leisure
Does this sound interesting? Please send your application and attach samples of your work.
Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
